In case you haven’t heard, Instagram recently launched new Business Tools to help businesses grow. These new tools allow you to view insights on your posts, promote posts, and convert your profile into a Business Profile. And in case you don’t want to go out into cyberspace to find out how all by yourself, we’re going to explain it right here! (Before we begin, I should warn you – you first need a Facebook Page for your Business – since Facebook purchased Instagram, they’d like you to connect these).
Step 1:
Log into your Instagram account, and navigate to your profile page (hint: where all of the pictures you have posted are).
Step 2:
Click on the settings icon in the top right hand corner (hint: it either like a little gear or it looks like three vertical dots).
Step 3:
Scroll down, under Account, the last option is “Switch to Business Profile”. Instagram Business Tools should pop up, click Continue.
Step 4:
It’s going to have you connect to one of your Facebook Pages; I’m trusting you to choose your Facebook business page that corresponds to your new Instagram business page.
Step 5:
After you’ve selected the appropriate Facebook page to connect, you’ll be able to enter your business Email address, phone number, and location.
BOOM!
You’ve changed your account to a Business Profile! Now, your Instagram profile will have a Contact button, which allows them to Call, Email, or Get Directions to your business. You can also view insights, and promote your posts!
